WIN A SAWTELL SURFBOARDS HANDMADE 10’0” VOLAN NOSERIDER

Marcus Geary hand-builds every Sawtell Surfboard from a workshop on the NSW Mid North Coast, shaping, glassing and finishing each board himself. Specialising exclusively in longboards, his work is inspired by vintage surfboard design, resin panels, volan glassing and traditional glass-on fins.

Every board is built one at a time, with an emphasis on timeless craftsmanship over production.

Inspired by David Nuuhiwa's iconic noseriders and the timeless boards showcased at the annual Old Mal Titles, Marcus set out to explore that classic concept through his own interpretation. The black resin panel 10'0" × 23½" × 3" Noserider features a deep nose concave, glassed-on hatchet fin set well back, heavier volan glassing and just a touch more tail flip. The additional weight creates momentum, glide and stability, resulting in a board that feels settled underfoot and truly comes alive on the nose.

This giveaway is especially meaningful for Marcus and his partner Jacqui who won PLB's subscriber board number 87 back in 2020:
