Throughout its 33-year existence the Logger Heads Classic has seen tiny, small, good, big, and huge surf! Sometimes all within the three days of the event!
At the time of writing this, sand is being swept around the point into the bay by the intense low off the south coast = looking good for the future!
The LH's small band have had a winning formula since the mid 80s, putting together a fun based gathering of the clans, to share stories, surfing & good times over a couple of beers, along with some of the best surfing you'll see on the east coast!
Oh, and don't forget the dance floor antics on Saturday night at the Bowlo!
Visitors from the big smoke are swept back decades into the Logger Heads time warp! Seasoned attendies, all have a LH's story or ten to tell!
This year the LH's Malibu Classic is including an Over 45 years Logging Division to give the maturing longboarders a chance to show their style!
The 35s Ladies division, which is continually growing, has been bumped up to Over 40s . . . we aren't getting any younger !
In true LH's tradition, all finalists receive trophies, all prizes are put into a competitors draw system!
Four beautiful longboards are to be given away over the three days, a Brett Munro, a Catalyst by "Dick" Smith & two Bennetts! They are all-up on display at Club Scotts already!
A second Catalyst 8' longboard, 1st prize in the Charity Raffle, a total of six LB's to be given away at the event!
The Logger Heads Malibu Classic shall be celebrated once again at Scotts Head over the 27th, 28th & 29th July 2018.
Entries are out now, so don't hang about or you could miss out! Find them on the PLB website.
Cheers, Barry Jagoe for the Loggers
