She to Sea is about to hit its second annual all female Surf Art exhibition. Part of the official events for the Noosa Festival of Surfing, She to Sea is the brainchild of women’s surf photographer and local artist Tracy Naughton. “The idea behind it is all about embracing women and their place in surfing culture. It’s a coming together of surfers, photographers and artists who all have a love for the art of female surfing”.
After last year’s huge success it was without a second thought that Tracy was keen to do it all again.
Along with the talented core group of artists Marnie Morat, Amanda Davidson, and local photographers Fenna De King, Jo Brebner, Beck Payne a few new faces are to join the crew and spread the word of female artists on the coast.
Jaleesa Vincent is next level when it comes to art, surfing and music, she is pretty much carving a new path when it comes to raw talented style & individuality and we are stoked to welcome her to the show this year.
We also have local Artist Jessica Lee exhibiting work on the night, her bright vibrant style is so alive with colour, it’s easy to get lost in her work!
Beloved local women’s surf wear brands Tall Poppy along with She & the Sea will also be selling some tried and tested surfsuits on the night.
Local legend filmmaker Liv Williams will also be screening a few of her surf films on the night.
The whole idea behind She to Sea is about women coming together to share and support females in art, surfing, business and life in general really, its such a beautiful concept and we hope to continue to grow into the future.
