Gone too young at 76 from Merkel cell skin cancer - but you get the impression he didn’t regret a single day.

Jimmy Buffett recorded 36 albums over 50 years and had a massive following around the world without ever having a real hit song, ’cept maybe this one.

“A poet of paradise, Jimmy Buffett inspired generations to step back and find the joy in life and in one another,” President Joe Biden tweeted.

He sailed on peacefully on September 1 surrounded by family, friends, music and dogs.
