“Queensland Playground” – a leisurely 8 minutes of joy from the Gold Coast in 1957

1 February 26

No highrise,  no groynes, and just a smattering of shiny happy people . . . oh for a tardis.

Dug up from some nice place on the web by archive detective Ian Lording.

“Produced by The Commonwealth Film Unit. Shot in glorious Vistarama and Eastmancolour.

"Directed by Richard Mason. Twenty miles of sea and sand on the coast of southern Queensland. The beaches between Coolangatta and Surfer's Paradise are known as the Gold Coast. Here, where it is always summer, there is an all year playground and tourist resort."
