Pre Bells - Taka, Kaede and Sakura Inoue to compete in the Surfcoast Longboarders Winter Classic this weekend – and check out Taka’s vid

Kinda like tennis players doing the Queen’s Club Tournament in the lead up to Wimbeldon!

Taka Inoue, who appeared on the cover of Issue 116 of PLB, is competing this weekend along with his sisters Kaede and Sakura in the Surfcoast Longboard Club's charity event the "2024 Winter Longboard Classic" to be held at Point Impossible near Torquay Victoria (13 -14 July).

The whole Japanese longboard family are in Victoria, in the run up to the first event in the WSL world longboard for 2024: the WSL "Bioglan Bells Beach Longboard Classic", being held at Bells Beach between 18th - 21 July 2024.

Katey Shearer’s photo taken on the cover of PLB 116 was taken at Bells the week before the WSL Bells Beach Classic last year.  

The full wave Taka is riding in that cover shot was captured in the short video by Ted Clark and it’ll be having a rare screening next month on the opening night of Noosa International Surf Film Festival  8th - 11 August 2024.
