Everyone in Australia knows this song, but for our overseas readers, it’s a lament from a guy in the nick who’s going to miss his kids and family on Christmas Day. And to top it off he’s not going to be there to make the gravy for the roast.

This song is an institution in Oz – we even have an unofficial “Gravy Day” on the 21st of December and this tune is played everywhere.
