From the Surfrider Foundation: Come and join in as we celebrate with Clean Up Australia for a massive event at the best house of them all, the Sydney Opera House!
Bring your longboards, shortboards, SUPs, canoes and kayaks and get in the water to help us keep our beautiful harbour clean.
Lucas Handley and the Underwater Academy will be cleaning the seabed whilst we gather what we can for them.
Join surfing world champs, Tom Carroll, Rob Bain and legend Simon Anderson as well as a host of many other surfing and ocean celebrities.
SUNDAY MARCH 3 - Meet us at the 'Man O War Steps' jetty at the Opera House at 9am and have the most fun you can have at a surfing clean up.
At the conclusion, we will be observing a minute's silence for the sea and for the late Ian Kieran AO who did the first ever Sydney Harbour Clean Up 30 years ago where 40,000 people came out to show that they care.
Remember to Slip on a shirt, Slop on the 50+ sunscreen, Slap on a hat, Seek shade or shelter, Slide on some glasses used to block out sun — "Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek, Slide". Bring 40,000 of your friends and relive a part of Sydney Harbour history!
