Yep our 87th magazine subscriber giveaway! And check out this beauty from surfer/shaper and head Kook, Eden Saul.
The Nausea in a nutshell: “This board is a blend of old and new, and a nicely balanced board for everyday riding. Narrow through the front, low hips to a tucked tail, low entry rocker with a little kick in the backend. Subtle concave through the nose-entry that rolls off the rail through the front 1/3 for lift and stability, extending down into a soft rolled bottom with pinched-out rails and a little V out the tail. This is my personal favourite model and go-to daily whip.”
An interesting man is Eden. Grew up in Lennox and still calls it home, and worked many years as a lifeguard at Currumbin while doing a double degree in business law and economics. “All the while I was shaping boards for friends and myself, some good, a bunch of bad ones, but was just stoked on playing with shapes and designs.”
Eden’s now been shaping full-time for 12 years while splitting his time between Australia and California, where he’s worked with many of the best - Kassia Meador, Victoria Vergara, Honolua Blomfield, Kelia Moniz, Erin Ashley, Sean Tully, Devon Howard and CJ Nelson among them.
Say’s Eden: “The Nausea is just as comfortable in hollow point waves and short beachies as in those slower knee-high days. Loose off the tail, fast through the middle and holds tight on the nose.”
And some Australian PLB subscriber is going to win it by next issue!
