WORLD SURFING RESERVE & OPENING CEREMONY
Noosa will be dedicated as the 10th World Surfing Reserve on Friday, 21 February, becoming only the third Australian surfing destination to be so honoured.
The official dedication will be held in the Noosa National Park, followed by a public celebration from 3pm at the Noosa Festival of Surfing site at Main Beach, with surfing exhibitions, live music, and food and beverages available at the Festival Beach Bar.

ART SHOW AT HEADS OF NOOSA
The Noosa Surf Art Expo 2020 will come to life with live art demonstrations, chainsaw sculpting, surfboard shaping and interactive art workshops for the community to enjoy.
Organised by celebrated surf artist Owen Cavanagh, the event features the longest list of activities its ever seen, with more than 40 local artists and a series of live art demonstrations. We’ve pulled together some extraordinary artisans who work with traditional & fairly unconventional tools.
Two competitions will be held on the day – the kids surf art will have two categories for children, and best surf style vehicle for adults.
* A kids art competition held over the 9 days with very cool prizes.
* Kombi charity run will be on Sunday the 23 Febuary. Register your van and win cool prizes.
The sixth Surf Art Expo will be a charity event with funds raised from a gold coin donation upon entry

The Noosa Festival of Surfing Opening Party will be held at Thomas Surfboards on Saturday the 22nd February from approximately 6pm. There will be plenty of cold beer to go around. There will be live music all night. Swing by for a drink and a boogie! It is an 18+ event with a small cover charge.
Our complimentary Festival shuttle bus will be running on a round circuit between Hastings Street, Noosaville and Project Ave between 5 – 11:30pm.

The Locals Day inter-club Surf Challenge is back! Rip Curl Noosaville is hosting the Locals Day once again, giving back to the community that relinquishes its break to our international guests every year. Everyone is welcome to come along and cheer on the teams from Noosa Malibu Club, Noosa Boardriders Club and Noosa SLSC for an arvo of aquatic antics!

Dusty archives have been painstakingly tracked down and remastered to bring a new perspective to one of the most crucial periods in surfing’s evolution. From Santa Barbara to Australia, this is a film compiled of never-before-seen footage from surfing’s Golden Age, with outtakes and extras from some of surfing’s most well known filmmakers to tell a history that has never been told before. Come and enjoy a night at The J Theatre and take in the Spoons Film followed by a Q & A with the Film's Producers and local Australian's who were instrumental in the growth and popularity of surfing.
LIME SPIDERS AT THE REEF HOTEL
The LIME SPIDERS exploded into the unsuspecting ears of the music scene in the early eighties. From the band’s inception, its music was a compelling hybrid of ‘60’s punk/psychedelic influences in an uneasy marriage with a modern wall of sound approach. This perfect sonic storm was described by American Rolling Stone magazine as “the Sex Pistols on acid”.

We are super-stoked to announce we will have Devon Howard (World Surf League Longboard Tour Director) Justin Quintal (2019 WSL Men’s Longboard Champion) and Honolua Bloomfield (2019 WSL Women’s Longboard Champion). Our guests of honour will be informally interviewed by the legendary John (JC) Charlton. The evening will be compered by MIX FM’s Todd & Sami. We will also have a Charity Auction which includes locally shaped boards designed for First Point, Noosa.

The world’s biggest Surfing Dog Championships held at one of the world’s best beaches is back.
