Update from old mal guru Daffy Chisholm:
Hi folks, 74 surfers, partners and family members verged upon Crescent Head in September on the usual week for the Old Mal Titles. Most were securing their accommodation bookings for future years as they stood to loose their selected allocations.
Surf held all week and for some who were injured/broken, it was a tough week to watch the conditions roll through so perfectly. Diana’s camera was active all week so attached is a One Drive Album.
Some excellent surfing off the point for seven days with an unofficial paddle out on the Saturday for four hours. Winners are grinners.
A surprising day visit on Saturday from the Central Coast & Grafton added to the flavour of the week. New highway upgrades make Crescent so close now!
A scaled down show & shine in the park Saturday Arvo with some real gems laid out. Considering so few boards the quality was outstanding. Bruce Pate fronted with an incredible Balsa.
Hopefully we will be back on track for 2021!
All in all, a very enjoyable, laid back week in Crescent for all who attended.
As the local fable goes “It’s always pleasant in Crescent”.
