Mount Longboards opens new store to complement their original surf shop – news & vid

Okanui, Endless Summer Originals, Michael Saggus boards, Atmosea, Hawaiian shirts that are actually made in Honolulu – and - they have New Zealand’s Duck Island ice cream in both stores!

“We also had ice cream in our surf store on the South Coast in the ’80s, back when it was the norm to have a beachy vibe in surf shops,” says Kate from Mount Longboards, who grew up in surf shops at a time when they were all locally owned and run by families. And that’s how it still is at Mount Longboards in Mount Maunganui in NZ.

“The new store sits on the Main Street in the Mount - where we host 140 cruise boats a year that berth 200m from our store front. A lot of passengers are Aussies and love our brand, and essentially the new store has all our latest prints and is already a favourite with international visitors to NZ.” 

“Our original store is the core surf shop, decked out with boards by Michael Saggus including his Paipos, and we stock Green Slime surf wax from Aussie as well as all the apparel and hardware brands.”

And they ship all over NZ, to Australia, and worldwide.
