“Massive for us this summer. We recently shot a cool video featuring some surfing and our prints and is being watched all over the world. It's great showcasing NZ and more so our region the Bay of Plenty,” says Kate from Mount Longboards. “We’ve launched some new prints continuing these into winter and adding some wool and alpaca surf socks. Also, some cool NZ wool knits and sweaters are made right here in New Zealand.

“As NZ has opened up to the rest of the world our store has been visited by numerous international travellers especially the Cruise boats that arrive only 100m from our store. We are stoked to see customers from the UK, USA, Europe and Australia visit our store and love the brand. Taking a piece of hand-crafted surf apparel back with them.

“It's a cool spot surrounded by cafes and palm trees. It has a great vibe with our Hawaiian shirts and vintage tees. From printing in our parent’s garage using mum’s iron and selling the t-shirts on the side of the road to now an awesome store. And now we’re really hope to get some of these Hawaiian shirts happening in Aussie.”

Following on from their online operation, the Mount Longboards store is in the Cruise Deck at 169 Maunganui Rd, Mount Maunganui.
