Matt Chonacki at Bells

From the Waxhead: “I was down in Bells a few weeks back on a roadtrip with my fiancé Darline. The first big swell of the winter was predicted so I didn’t pack a log in the van for about the first time ever! Turns out the swell didn’t eventuate, but there were some clean waves at Rincon.

“I jumped on one of Bea Conroy’s logs, and linked up with my old friend Shyama Buttonshaw (pretty good company to have down there). A really fun morning session,  albeit 2 degree air temp and a fierce morning sun, glaring into your vision as you make your way down the reef. Tricky!
