Katey Shearer’s book – Cold & Alive - and here's a gem!

Katey Shearer is one of our all-time favourite photographers, and we’ve been wrapt to have had her images grace our cover and many spreads in PLB magazine over the years, and we’re so pleased to see she’s now presented her favourite works together in this 208-page book – Cold & Alive.

Katey’s won a bunch of awards, featured in many mags, and showed in exhibitions and at festivals, but you just know it’s not about the kudos, she shoots for the love of it. Car parks, cliffs, clouds, wildlife and water patterns will all cop the Katey treatment along with the core surf stuff – which she shoots from both land and water, always seeking fresh angles to bring the viewer into the picture.

This book has been a major piece of work for Katey and has pretty much consumed her for the past eight months or so, but it’s here now - and it's just 85 bucks.

Cold & Alive is a collection of photographs from the rugged coastline of the Surfcoast, Victoria. Alongside  the photographs are some poems and writings to enhance the visual expression. 

It has been thoughtfully created and put together to share Katey's deep love and connection to the water. She hopes it inspires you to get outside and enjoy the abundance the ocean has to offer. 

The cover is Matte machine varnished scuff-free laminate with fine art black gloss paper to hold the images.
