Here she comes, the Kiwi Logger Heads – Info & Entry

3 January 18

Another year has rolled around quickly for the Logger Heads contest organisers and on the 27th/28th January 2018 loggers from all over the country will converge on Mangawhai Heads to get amongst the 5th installation of the Logger Heads - Traditional Longboard Contest.

"There's already been a bunch of interest from loggers across the country" says Contest Organiser Tony Baker. "We’re hoping Logger Heads 5 will be the best yet".

Scheduled for one of the busiest weekends of summer in the North, TB has added a Masters Division and allowed for an extra back-up day for competition.

"Last year we had over 50 entries, including 36 in the Open Logger, and this year we are hoping for more, so an extra day allows us to pick the eyes out of any swell and enjoy the summer vibes up here on the coast," he says.

Divisions include JUNIOR, OPEN LOGGER, LADIES, MASTERS and OLD MAL

A HUGE thanks to the following businesses for their continued support of the Logger Heads Event:

McLeod's Brewery, Fin Shui, Threadbox Mangawhai, Morris Surfboards, BAMMAS Surf and Leisure and Surfline Custom Surfboards.

2016 Winners:

JUNIOR - Bassie Waldron (Mangawhai Heads)

OPEN LOGGER - Kai Ellis-Flint (Australia)

OLD MAL - Trent Lillis (Auckland)

LADIES - Nicky Wellington (Auckland)
