“Getting Away w Reality” – watch the new mini movie from Sean Kenny and Tommy Witt here

22 July 18

We really, really enjoyed this – solo surfing wild nature with Tommy and Sean, surfing with hordes in SoCal, cool cutaway shots, scenery, a cameo masterclass from Tudor in fine form, topped off with killer music!

It goes for 20 minutes, and hey you have the time – just take a seat and check it out.

Sean wrote a synopsis/intro, so we thought we’d post this as a news story rather than just drop it in the vid section. The link is at the bottom.

June 30th 2018, skating at the new park over off Poinsettia, there are moments there were you can find an area alone and for us that's usually the pool. Built to resemble a drained backyard pool, deformed kidney shape with steep transitions, stairs in the shallow end and a speedy waterfall to send you flying and looping around the 12 foot back wall. Standard Bert and Alva. Tommy, the master of finding moments alone, keeps jammn on about this incoming swell in Central California.

"its gonna be sick, no one out, I know this trail we can hike down, just gotta find that road..."

Spontaneous road trip, I got a van and with a flat forecast for N. County and the 4th of July crowds headed to the beach,,.Central Cal it is. "Duude, we should also skate Derby..."

Tommy Witt and I exploring Central Cal then driving north to visit skater Rodger Malhako at Derby and surf w Izzy of the Mexi Log Fest up in Santa Cruz.  Surfed alone on 4th of July, mission accomplished:) Great BBQ as well, thanks Rodger.   After a couple cold surfs, lots of bert slides and stony hours looking at old surf magazines, we slowly started rolling back south to the warm waters of Malibu, slept on the street and woke up to a sunrise view of Hurricane Fabio. Got some sick shots of Sean Tully, Belzer, Lauren Canavan, Tosh and Joel Tudor.

Filmed from July 2nd to July 6th 2018

Featuring: Sean Keany, Tommy Witt,  Rodger Malhako, Izzy Preciado in Santa Cruz. Sean Tully, Jeff Belzer, Lauren Canavan, Tosh and Joel Tudor, (along w many others) at The Bu during the morning of Hurricane Fabio.
