Coming from a third generation surf family born-and-bred on Victoria’s Surfcoast, Gboards’ founder Paul Garrard's aim has always been “surfing should be fun, safe and accessible to everyone.”
Since early 1999, they’ve been the industry leader to the soft surfboard market, and currently supply boards to over 70% of the surf schools throughout Australia.
The Garrard family have had a long involvement with the surf industry, with Paul’s grandfather Dick being a key figure in the introduction of surfing throughout Victoria and Australia. Dick was born in 1910 and a couple of his accomplishments include helping to fund the early stages of building the Great Ocean Road, and being a founding member of Torquay Boardriders and Surf Club in 1945 – and the family have lived and breathed surfing ever since.
GBOARDS BUSHFIRE FUND:
“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by bushfires currently devastating our country. Without the amazing efforts from our firefighters and volunteers right across the country things could have been a hell of a lot worse. As a small token of appreciation for what they have done and will continue to do, we will be donating 100% of sales from all boards in the “bushfire fund” section of our online store to @cfavic and @nswrfs. Just follow the link in our bio.”
