Artists and photographers are invited to submit their work for Waves of Expression: Surfing Through Art & Lens, a vibrant exhibition celebrating the soul of surf culture through visual art. This inspiring event will take place from 22 July to 3 August 2025 at the Kirra Community Centre, Queensland, as part of the annual Kirra Longboard Klassic.

Submissions Close 25 June 2025

Waves of Expression invites both emerging and established creatives to showcase original works that explore the beauty, energy, and lifestyle of surfing—from thundering barrels and peaceful seascapes to abstract oceanic visions and iconic coastal moments.

Submission Guidelines:
Artists must submit their entries electronically by 25 June 2025. Each submission should include:

Artwork Categories:

Paintings, drawings, or mixed media (on canvas or surfboards)
Photographic prints (digital or film; colour or black & white)
Ocean-inspired sculpture or 3D works

Submission Format:

High-resolution images (JPEG or PNG, minimum 300 dpi)
Title, dimensions, medium, and a short description for each work
Artist bio (max 200 words) and an artist statement detailing your connection to surf culture
