CLAIRE CLAIMS THE 9’4” ARCHER NOSERIDER

Have you tried cold calling anyone recently? With all the scammers and marketers no-one wants to pick-up anymore. Anyway, on our fourth try, Claire Perryn from Pottsville bravely picked up, only to find it wasn’t someone trying to sell her something it was someone wanting to give her a brand new Archer Surfboards 9’4” Noserider!

And yes it kinda is really - this is the 104th time we’ve phoned a mag subscriber to tell them they’ve won a top-end Australian made longboard. And Claire was as stoked as they as come, “I absolutely love surfing! LOVE it!” And it turns out she’s in three clubs – Kirra, Cabarita, and the Surf Witches – so she’s at a longboard event pretty much every weekend.

A 40-year-old Aquatic Practices teacher who’s also studying Marine Science at Southern Cross Uni, Claire teaches high schoolers about ecosystems, aquaculture, tourism, and practical skills like boating, diving, fishing . . . and, really, how long has this been going on?

So Claire, you’ve now got this brand new Archer Noserider for your pre work surfs and those endless club rounds! From the Rhino factory in Brookvale, Archer Surfboards are designed, shaped and finished by young Northern Beaches local Archer Drinan, who’s been building his boards and skills alongside legends like Steve O’Donnell, Simon Anderson, Mike Psillakis and Greg Webber. 

He builds long, mid, and shortboards and they’re ridden and tested along the East Coast by locals, mates, and a few current WSL tour competitors, including fellow Manly locals Tully White and Declan Wyton. 

With a clear laminated deck and a khaki green, grey abstract on the bottom and rails, this 9’4” Noserider is a beautiful thing from a fresh talent – and it’s all yours Claire.
