“This event is for the selection of one male/female contestant to enter the world tour. Two events will be held in Australia, this one and next month at the Noosa Festival. This event staged by Surfing Queensland for the WSL. The semis were 20 minute heats, 4 competitors each. Best 2 from each semi advances to the final. Best 2 waves. Tide was dropping, winds swinging onshore, some cloud but warm, 2-3 foot of bumpy wave.”
