Ben Aipa paddle out celebration, Magic Island

This is a 50-minute video, and producer Kyle Metcalf says:  "Uncle Harold spoke about Ben Aipa, the man, the icon, the legacy. Ben Aipa's Paddle Out Celebration was held at Magic Island on this day right across from Ben's beloved Ala Moana Bowls.

"The bigger sets of waves closed out across the harbor channel. Speakers included Uncle Pastor Harold Holley, Tom Hamilton, Duke and Akila Aipa, and Lenore Aipa. Skyler Leinani Aipa sang Ho'onani for her Grandpa. Eric Keawe provided the blowing of the ceremonial 'Pu', a triton shell, and Kahu Dennis Sallas from Hope Chapel Waikiki provided the opening blessing.
