ANOTHER PILSNER FOR THE PENINSULA!

31 August 21

We’ve given away two Pilsner models from Fine Surfcraft by Andrew Warhurst over our last two mags and coincidentally, both have been won by subscribers down on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula – this issue’s being Point Leo regular Martin Tozer.

“This is so brilliant, I’m just thrilled to win this . . . and my son has gotten into longboarding lately so this board’s going to get some love.” Martin is a project manager mostly working from home these days, but he also makes it up to Noosa a couple of times a year (borders permitting). “Funny, over the years I got caught up in family and career as so many of us do, and after too long a break I paddled out on my 6’1” and sunk it. I moved up to longboards and it’s a whole new world.  Can’t wait to get this in the water at Western Port and up at Noosa! Thank you!”

From 9'1" to 10’0", this model is the highest seller in the Fine Surfcraft range, and like all of Andy’s "logs" it’s inspired by the 1966-67 involvement era, with the wide point back from the centre, foiled-out rails and Greenough-inspired fin.

The Pilsner is designed to cover all bases, and while it still has a pig-style outline it’s not as extreme and it’ll hold a line when the waves start getting up a bit. The go-to in the quiver, it noserides in those tricky parts yet can really bank a turn. And it’s all yours Martin!
