“Aww bullshit!” Adam Page yelled when we phoned him at work to say he’d won the handmade Clayton Dedicated Noserider in our 95th subscriber board giveaway. And turns out he was in some hellhole way out in Central Queensland where he works as a FIFO maintenance manager on the mines.
From Buderim on the Sunny Coast, Adam’s local is The Bluff, and, “When I’m not working I’m surfing non-stop . . . although . . . my wife Laura just had a baby so that’s gotten a lot tricker! She understands I really appreciate the waves I do get now though and surfing is the best way to reset after work,” he laughs. “By the way, I always check out the winners and the boards in the mag and think man that one would’ve been perfect for me!” Well now it’s your turn Adam.
Born and bred in Gerringong on the NSW South Coast, Clayton Bell has been building longboards, mids and fish from start-to-finish under his own label for around eight years - thats shaping, glassing sanding, finishing, the works.
“The Dedicated Noserider is a California-inspired stable platform with parallel rails and a deep long blended concave and 50/50 rails. Along with maximum time on the nose it’ll pivot turn, and trim, and it’s just a classic ride.” Custom from 9’1” to 10’2” – and just perfect for The Bluff eh.
