Out of Canada’s British Columbia, Marcus Paladino’s glorious images have featured in PLB several times over the past 10 years - along with many other surf mags around the world. Marcus also has an extended article in our new Issue 108 featuring his hometown Tofino and surrounds, which is just out this week and we’re already getting a mile of great feedback on.

Marcus shoots from land and water and drone, and now he’s gone and released his first book – Cold Comfort - featuring his best of the best. Following are the publisher’s press release plus the links to where you can get it.

Marcus Paladino’s first photo book - a 320-page love letter to surf photography from Canada’s West Coast.

Dedicated to capturing high-performance surfing at its best and finding split-second action and beauty in lost moments of time combine to help craft a portfolio of energetic and meditative photography like few others. With a keen eye for the unique and the almost forgotten, Cold Comfort is an amazing collection of imagery that skillfully communicates the photographer’s deep love and respect for this western Canadian coastal landscape.

Marcus Paladino’s unique and stunning portfolio contains some of the photography world’s most compelling surfing images.

Surfing is why Marcus moved to Tofino. It’s an integral part of his lifestyle and contributes to his livelihood. Bumpy boat rides, long drives, getting skunked, scoring good waves, chattering teeth, numb feet, blacking out, drowning cameras, mental frustration, and chasing serotonin are all part of the game when surfing the cold waters off Canada’s West Coast.
