The 3rd annual Noosa Surf Film Fest will take place from October 6-8, 2017. With just one week left for submissions, the festival is putting one last call out for filmmakers to submit their films that explore any aspect or angle of surfing through documentary, narrative, animation or anything in between.

"We are truly humbled and super excited about the quality of the submissions already received for the NSFF 2017! There is a huge variety of stories and genres which have travelled from across the globe and are going to be incredibly hard to choose from. The NSFF team are committed to finding the best of the best to bring to Noosa. So make sure you submit your surf film to be a part of what's shaping up to be the biggest and best Noosa Surf Film Festival ever!” says Festival Director Amelia Shaw.

The festival is supported by Screen Queensland and Tourism Noosa, and is excited to announce its 2017 event partners including Vissla, Gage Roads Brewing, Canon, Eco Surf Supplies and Coastalwatch in addition to local companies Thomas Surfboards, Water Pistols Surfboards, Village Bicycle, and Noosa Surfing.

In addition to the film screenings, this year’s event program has expanded to include an art show and photography challenge, and will have a large focus on sustainability and protecting our oceans with an eco-surf panel discussion. The full festival schedule will be announced early September.

Films can be submitted through the event website and successful entries will be showcased on the big screen this October. Submissions of short to feature length films will be accepted until August 25th, 2017.
