Vintage surfing, music, vehicles and “stuff”: Yes it is back, the 3rd Point Leo Vintage Surf Day, and once again there will be many serious collectors displaying 100s of boards and rare surfing memorabilia.

Also a highlight will be a display of Kombis and vintage surf wagons and sedans. Classic old slipstream caravans will adorn the foreshore with the odd hotrod and cruiser along side.

As in previous years, it will be held on the Point Leo Foreshore over looking the famous Suicide Point. At lunchtime an expression surf session will be held which will be on vintage surf craft only!
There will be plenty of coffee stops and food and barbecues will be run all day. Live music and classic 50, 60, 70s numbers shall filter through the PA throughout the day.
There will be local, current and past surfriding clubs attending the day with the Suicide Savages proudly heading up the long list of clubs that have surfed and competed around this wonderful coast over the past 60 years or so. Also all local manufactures will be present displaying a brief history of their business and their contribution to what is a large and rapidly growing Victorian surfing industry.
Some serious collectors will be present with some making the trip from interstate to snap up a rare board or piece of surfing memorabilia. A swap meet will be held throughout the day where I'm certain many a special board or piece of surfing history will change hands.

There will be prizes for the most classic Mal, Single fin, Thruster, Twin fin,  Kombi Vintage Surf Wagon and the best dressed vintage surf outfit.

So dig up your old Treads, Cords, Miller shirts and Hawaiian Tops and be in the running for some great prizes.
We shall have some special guests, with George Rice and other original manufactures from the 50s and 60s present of whom we will interview throughout the day. Bob Smith the official Rip Curl historian will be present WITH THE OFFICIAL RIPCURL BELLS BEACH BELL on display along with other Rip Curl memorabilia.
So bring the family, grab that old stick you have under the house, and come on down to what will be another memorable day of old crew catching up some great boards and displays, and lots of old stories and tales of a bygone era!
The day kicks off at 10 am Sunday 12th of November at the Point Leo foreshore. Entry fee per car is $4.

Exhibitor’s Kombis, vintage cars and caravans are free entry.
