Liam Griggs-Kennelly will be out to defend his Open Men's title at this year’s Winter Classic.

Monday, 10 July 2017

The surfing will be at Point Impossible or Spot, and a social night and charity auction will be held on the Saturday at the Front Beach Cafe in Torquay.

Run by the Surfcoast Longboarders, the Winter Classic raises funds for local service groups and families "in need" with the aim of making a difference in our local community. The event raised a record $6,000 last year and we aim to go even better this year. Our focus this year is on raising funds for the family of much loved club member Joe Arena, who died of cancer last year.

Competition, as always, will be hot with most of the Victorian Longboard Team using it as their final hit out before travelling north for the National Titles on the Tweed Coast.

Entries are available in Junior Women, Open Women, O/35 Women, Loggers, Junior Men, Open Men, O/40 Men, O/50 Men, O/60 Men.
Registrations are $50 or $65 for two divisions.

Entry forms should be sent to by 5.00 pm on Monday 17 July.

Surfcoast Longboarders Winter Classic is on the 22 and 23 July.
