VICTORIAN TEAM FOR THE AUSTRALIAN SURF FESTIVAL

Surfing Victoria has announced the surfers who’ll be heading to the 2017 Australian Surf Festival to represent Victoria in Longboard, Logger, Shortboard and Bodyboard divisions.
 
The event will be held on the Tweed Coast in Northern NSW from July 28th to August 14th and will hold divisions across the four disciplines in age groups from Junior through to Over 65.
 
“On behalf of Surfing Victoria, I’d like to wish all competitors good luck going into the event,” said Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson.
 
“Every year we are impressed with the results and the way team members represent our state and I look forward to seeing some great surfing across all age groups!”
 
2017 will feature one of the biggest Victorian Teams in recent history with 42 individual competitors representing the state.
 
Notable surfers include former Australian Champions Ben Considine (Barwon Heads), Greg Brown (Jan Juc), Grayme Galbraith (Jan Juc), John Lane (Torquay), Tawa Hura (St Andrews Beach), Sage Goldsbury (Phillip Island) and Steve Watson (Blairgowrie).
