Organisers are excited to announce that submissions to the 3rd Annual Noosa Surf Film Festival are now open! The event will take place at the The J in Noosa Junction October 6-7, 2017.

"The Noosa Surf Film Festival is a celebration of surf culture and a high-five to all the creatives involved in the surf industry. Noosa has an immense amount of talent, both in and out of the water, and we want to bring everyone together to celebrate it." says Festival Director Amelia Shaw.

Filmmakers from all over the globe are invited to submit their films that explore any aspect or angle of surfing through documentary, narrative, animation or anything in between. Submissions of short films to feature length will be accepted until August 20th 2017.

Now in it's 3rd year, the event has cemented its place as an integral part of Noosa's surf and arts culture. Last years event was a huge success, showcasing films from 13 countries, with sold-out screenings that attracted surfers and ocean lovers from across the east coast. This year promises to deliver again, with a jam packed program of music, art, photography and film.

"Each year, we are blown away by the quality of films submitted, be it arthouse experimental, satirical, or adventure documentaries that make you want to pack up and explore the world. We get excited every year to program the best the world has to offer." says Festival Co-Founder Louise Clark.

Films can be submitted through the event website here and successful entries will be showcased on the big screen this October as part of the festival program.
