NEW ZEALAND DUKE FESTIVAL – THE PROGRAM, THE PARTY

Organisation of the 2017 Ray White New Brighton Duke Festival of Surfing is well underway and the following events can be confirmed for everyone who wants to take part.

Launch Night: Friday 17 March 7.30pm – Entertainment, Music,  New Brighton Club.                                  Merchandise sales, supper.

Surfboard Exhibition:  18 – 26 March.    - New Brighton Mall

‘Stoked’ Surf and Beach Art Show – Launch Tuesday 21 March from 6.00pm. Fiksate Gallery in New Brighton Mall      - Then daily 10am – 4.00pm.

Outdoor Surf Movie Night – Friday 24 March Beach Side Amphitheatre.  Kids 6.00pm – 7.30pm  Adults 8.00pm 10.00pm.

‘The Jam’ Teenage Rock Concert – Saturday 25 March – Beach Side Amphitheatre     4.00 - 6.00pm.

Three days of surfing competitions.-
Thursday Evening 23rd March – Registration from 6.30pm. Competition kicks off by 8.00am each day.

Firday 24 March – Age group Shortboard Begins – Under 12, 14, 17, 20 Boys and Girls.

Saturday 25 March All Longboard and Sup Comps will begin. Incl Open Longboard and Open Logger all with cash prizes Men and Women. Plus Over 40 Women, Over 40, 50, 60 Men.

Saturday 25 March- Rock Concert – New Brighton Club – Ticket Sales

Sunday 26 All semis and Finals will be run that are left.

There are four trophies in all main events  1st –  4th. There is at least $6,000 in cash and at least $8,000.00 in sponsored prizes.
