Disabled Surfers Association branches commence the season from October 2012 through to March 2013 somewhere near your local beach. As always we are seeking the assistance from the Surfing Community to lend a hand for three hours once or twice a year.

There is no greater pleasure then sharing your passion, the Ocean with your local Disabled Community. The DSA has a new website coming online next week which will still be under the original domain name

October is also the 60th Birthday celebration for Gary Blaschke, DSA Founder & National President.

Gary Blaschke Profile: Parents: Lionel & Joy Blaschke, devoted husband of 40 years to Lynne, father to Faith & Carly & grandfather to 5 grandchildren. Resided: Chester Hill NSW, now retired to Lake Munmorah. First Surfed: Manly NSW carrying an Old Mal on the Train!!!!!!!! Favourite Secret Surf Spot: Green Island at Lake Conjola NSW. An epic three hour session starting prior to day break, 6 to 8 foot Classic Green Island.

Surf Achievements: Surfing Hall of Fame, Founding member of four / Layback Longboarders, Founder of Disabled Surfers Association. Personal achievements: Awesome family man, Sign writer all his life, OAM recipient, Environmental Guardian, Freedom Frogfighter & Disabled Advocate. Gary’s commitment to anything he embarks on with such enthusiasm & gusto is inspirational.
