Some of Europe’s top longboard surfers will head to Watergate Bay to compete in the Asahi European Tour of Longboarding (ETL) Watergate Bay on September 29 and 30.

Saturday night’s event is open to families who can enjoy a meal and a drink, hang out with the cream of European longboarding whilst enjoying the entertainment which is all free. If you want to go on the Flowrider there is a discounted price of £15 per person and £5 will be going to the Joe Way Appeal for one night only.

Matt Way, Joe’s dad, said; “We would like to thank Skindog and the sponsors for their continued support, we are looking forward to a great night which all ages can enjoy and this whole weekend is a great showcase for Cornwall”.

The Joe Way Appeal will be splitting the funds between Newquay surf life saving club and Surfers against Sewage, attendees will also be able to sign the Protect Our Waves petition which aims to generate over 100,000 signatures to highlight the value of surfing waves and beaches. SAS will deliver the petition to 10 Downing Street in summer 2013.
