Ombak is back at Seminyak's decidedly hip La Plancha hosts South East Asia's one and only Surf Film Festival. Showcasing the best new surf films from around the globe, this year's event (the fifth) features a massive eighteen film premieres.From August 23 - 25
Line-up With the most eclectic selection of films ever to hit the festival, expect three nights filled with big waves, epic adventures and personal crusades. Experience the adrenaline thrills as South African surfers brave the shark infested waters of the Wild Coast; follow pro surfer Dave Rastovichs inspiring journey from the Galapagos to Alaska and Japan in his mission to protect dolphins and whales. Enjoy the latest action from Taylor Steele, as 25 surfers and filmmakers work in unison to document the world of surfing over a 24-hour period in various parts of the globe. Watch as photographers and surfers from the 70s are reunited through a series of iconic photographs.
Also featured in this years line up; an Amazon Indian on a surf quest; the pureness of bodysurfing in the modern classic Come Hell Or Highwater; and a 30,000 km road trip across Africa. The complete line up of films will be available on August 1, 2012.
