Moonstone - Returning to the Roots 12 March at the Noosa SLSC.

Thursday, 16 February 2012
MOONSTONE & BAND OF FREQUENCIES Monday 12 March 2012 Noosa SLSC
Having recently come home to the Sunshine Coast from touring California and Hawaii, Band of Frequencies will be returning to their roots in more ways than one by sharing the stage with the legendary '70s band 'Moonstone' for a rare reunion show.
Alan Carroll, the drummer and vocalist in Moonstone is also the father of Band of Frequencies lead singer and guitarist Shannon Carroll so the sounds of two generations will be ringing in the rafters of the Noosa Surf Club.
BAND OF FREQUENCIES There are plenty of accomplished musicians out there. But only a few manage to attain a state where they become a finely tuned antennae to swirling cosmic forces, channelling unseen spiritual energies and transforming a live music performance into a transcendental experience. I know, I'm gushing, but I just happen to believe Band of Frequencies and their other-worldly frontman are that good. Catch them if you can. -

MOONSTONE Resident band at THE PATCH, Coolangatta in 1970-72. Moonstone were THE band in the '70s, They played in places like Bilambil Hall & at Pigabeen, they were my favourite gigs, way better then seeing them in a pub. It was as much the crowd they attracted as the band themselves, very colourful crowd, surfers, hippies, bikers, country cruisers, groovers, they were all at Moonstone gigs. Whether you were raging or just drinking in the atmosphere, it was always a great vibe and always entertaining, like a mini Woodstock. - Rabbit Bartholomew
