To be held on Wednesday 9th Sept 2009, from 6pm - 8:30pm at the newly opened Surf World museum in Currumbin, Queensland. (Above Honey World and opposite the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary in Tomewin St.)

Shapers are invited to attend the event free as VIP guests. Board Riders Club members and limited general public will be invited to attend for $10 per person - which will include museum entry and light refreshments.

There will be an MC and two guest speakers for about 20-30 mins each. The guest speaker will then have a talk on shaping, how shaping and surfboards evolved over the years, their experiences and how they got to where they are today.

Bob McTavish will be one of the guest speakers on the night.

It will be a great interactive night with local surfers getting to know their local shapers a little better.

This is a not-for-profit event and after catering / equipment hire costs have been finalised all remaining proceeds will be to the benefit of the museum.
