The contest took place over the weekend of May 2-3 at Watergate Bay, Newquay in testing conditions, with Saturday seeing 6-8 ft clean swell, with decreasing through the following day with onshore winds.
Naturally on Sunday this saw old timers grumbling into their pasties, "gorrrr, remember that good ol' Saturday we saw, we'll never see the likes of that in our time again."
Thankfully Candice ignored them and romped it in to take first place. This is Candice's third win of the season, following her triumph in the LQS Spain event and the British Longboard Union contest at Perranporth.
"I'm really happy with another result," say Candince, "I'm really focused and looking forward to competing in the Worlds at the Roxy Jam in July."
